Concert Ab Major - 100%, I got a good score on this scale because there are two flats and I know how to play all of them in the scale. This scale is probably the easiest out of all of them because the notes are played low and I can play it from memory faster than any of my other scales, especially the key signature doesn't make the notes any more difficult to recall.
Concert f minor - 100%, This scale was also an easy one to play because I already knew all of the notes involved and I remembered the key signature from before when I played its relative major.
Concert C Major - 100%, This scale is another very easy one because it doesn't require me to think of the key signature, which is the one thing I'm having the most trouble with, I can just transpose down and play.
Concert a minor - 100%, The same goes for this scale as its relative major, I don't worry about the key signature and just go up to the sixth note of the major scale to play or transpose. The highest note of this scale is the one note that I can sometimes reach and sometimes I can't, I just have to try really hard. I'm expected to memorize both of these scales (without transposing and going to the sixth note and stuff) which I'm horrible with, I know it will take me a lot of work to memorize every single scale.
Concert Db Major - 100%, I knew all the notes in the scale again because I've seen them all before. The flats didn't throw me off after I saw my key signature because I already knew how to play them.
Concert bb minor - 100%, Again, all of the notes were relatively easy to play, the flats didn't throw me off because I previously knew them and none of the notes were high enough to where I couldn't reach them.
Concert G Major - 100%, This scale was the most difficult because I am least experienced with this number of sharps and I think it will be the hardest to remember because of that, but I still knew all of them while I was playing just because they were right in front of me.
Concert e minor - 100%, For this scale I had to look up the C# in the book to see how to play it because I hadn't seen this note before except in this specific scale. I learned to play it with the first and second finger and I ended up playing it correctly and I could probably play it correctly in the future now, too.
I realize that I achieved a 100% on every single one of the scales that I had to play in Smart Music but that doesn't mean anything to me. I already knew that I was going to do well on them if the notes were right in front of me and all I had to do was play them. The real problem I have is figuring them out by myself and memorizing them, which I do not know how to do yet. I've since not taken time out of school to memorize them and that's not good, I'm just going to have to put extra work in at home if I'm going to succeed in band and memorize some of these scales.
